I think that push notifications would be much more efficient than constant pulling for new email.

And would enable us to get notified automagically™ the instant new email arrives not 5 or 10 minutes later. (just like IM)

Windows Live Messenger has a feature called Multiple Points of Presence, which enables a WLM account to be signed in on multiple computers. This would be brilliant to add to Digsby. I hate being signed out if other programs sign me into WLM.

Here's a bit more information:

There is no visual indicator that someone is blocked on your contact list other than when you right click you get the option of unblock.

There should be something that lets you know they are blocked just by looking at the your contact list!

Even after merging buddys, they don't share the same history. It's very confusing if you look for a link someone sent you earlier and Digsby opens "the other history" because of online status. It's ok to store it separately, but it should be displayed combined (the auto-history in the message window as well as the real history. But the history dialog needs a complete rework anyway).

This will set your status to "Busy" or "Away" when running full screen application like Games, Presentation, etc.
Disabling sound and alert is already implemented so, I'm requesting this feature!

The current contacts search functionality is not very well implemented. This is a request to do it better, maybe with a (popup?) search box or similar.

Add an option to hide all Digsby windows with a hotkey. The tray icon can be changed in another icon to be more furtive.

To copy text in the Past Chat Browser one can use ctrl+c.

Could the IBM Common User Access (CUA) standard also be supported: Ctrl-Insert to copy.

Would be nice to have context menu copy option as well.

Would like a Joomla module that you can put on any joomla website.

Basically a feature where you can drag your favorite contacts onto your desktop (ie friends, girlfriends, etc) so you can see whether they're online and also to easily start chats with them by clicking on icon.

I liked the feature in other multi-client chat applications that allows you to auto-accept file transfers from people on your contact list. It would be ghreat if that option was added.

There is already an option to hide new windows from popping up when a full screen application is running, so it shouldn't be very hard to add the option to hide new windows from opening when you are away.

Pidgin has this feature implemented nicely where the tray icon just changes to a picture of a conversation box, then when you click on the tray icon all of your messages show up.
